New Harman Presentation Switcher with Built-In Networked AV Technology

Harman Professional Solutions has recently released the AMX N7142, what Harman is hailing as the first all-in-one presentation switcher to incorporate low-latency Networked AV video distribution. The product has the ability to distribute video in a scalable way, which provides the opportunity for educators to reach more students in overflow classroom situations. High quality UHD video can be delivered across campus with just a simple network connection.

 

Featuring a comprehensive I/O that delivers high quality audio and video, the N7142 switcher distributes UHD content from the latest 4K sources to most modern displays, with four 4K60 HDMI 2.0 and two VGA inputs that can be independently switched between two HDMI 2.0 inputs. It has two available slots for networked AV cards. Each of the two outputs has a mirrored HDMI port for connecting to an additional display, encoder card, or other video distribution equipment. The switcher can be controlled wirelessly via a mobile device making it easy to configure, control and use.

 

Also featuring audio support, the N7142, has a built-in DSP and 60W stereo amplifier that is capable of operating in 4Ω/8Ω, 70V, or 100V modes. The unit also has the N7142 has six independent balanced stereo inputs and two independent microphone inputs with phantom power thus making this a true all-in-one solution for Networked AV applications.

 

Two models are available at to offer flexibility to fit the needs of the institution or business. The NMX-PRS-N7142 provides two available Networked AV slots for encoder or decoder cards. The NMX-PRS-N7142-23 is identical, except with one N2312 encoder card and one N2322 decoder card, ideal for 4K video distribution.
