NEC Display recently launched their new PH Series laser projectors, NEC PH3501QL and NEC PH2601QL, declaring them to be the world’s brightest red-blue (RB) laser projectors. Designed for large venues, these projectors utilize red and blue laser light sources, which NEC claims to produce higher color output and brightness than competing phosphor laser projection systems.
Both projectors deliver native 4K (4096×2160) resolution. The PH3501QL provides 40,000 center lumens, while the PH2601QL features 30,000 center lumens. The PH Series projectors offer lower power consumption and nearly maintenance-free operation over the laser’s 20,000 hour lifetime.
The projectors each provide multiple 4K resolution inputs including Quad 3G SDI, 2 x DisplayPort, 2 x HDMI plus an optional slot for 4K/UHD OPS Slot-in PCs. They can be installed for either landscape or portrait mode projection or 360 degree free tilt installation. Featuring vertical +/- 50% and horizontal +/- 17% lens shift combined with a selection of wide zoom bayonet lenses, the PH Series provide installation flexibility for any large venue application.
