With VR and AR coming more and more into play in many different applications, the devices used to view these virtual and augmented worlds are becoming more advanced and more in demand. The Epson Moverio BT-350 augmented reality smart glasses are targeting a new niche providing durable and flexible construction to allow them to be shared among multiple users.
For workplace applications such as field technicians or immersive experiences such as museums or amusement parks, these glasses are designed for high-frequency shared use. Made of durable components, the Moverio BT-350 glasses also feature temples that extend so that a variety of users can size them to fit and even adjust nose pads to accommodate their prescription glasses.
The glasses feature proprietary Si-OLED displays that have no backlight, providing greater contrast and transparency for a superior user experience and the ability to see your surroundings while clearly viewing the image displayed within the glasses. The high contrast display and an optional shade that flips down or up allows for outdoor use. Equipped with a front-facing five-megapixel camera along with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, the glasses employ a 3D-capable, binocular display capable of presenting high resolution and edgeless content. An optional Quint Controller Dock can charge and administrate up to five devices at once.
