The largest AV and systems integration show in the world, this year’s ISE took place February 5-8th in Amsterdam with exhibitors showing off some pretty cool stuff. Here’s a quick look at some of the stand out performers at this years show.
Evoko Liso Room Manager
Combining easy setup and a simple user interface in a beautifully designed package, this room scheduling device was a hit at ISE 2019. Green, yellow or red lights that frame the sleek looking 8-inch touchscreen, and illuminate the wall behind the display, indicate whether a room is available or not. The Evoko Liso connects to your internal calendar whether it’s Google or Outlook or pretty much any popular platform. Book, end or extend a meeting easily with intuitive touchscreen controls and easily analyze room use.
Peerless-AV Xtreme High Bright
These virtually weatherproof displays have an operating temperature range of -31°F to 140°F to withstand extreme outdoor temperatures. They are fully sealed and maintenance-free with no fans, vents or filters offering thorough protection against water, dust, moisture & insects. The displays are optically bonded, which increases the perceived contrast ratio and cuts down on glare allowing for readability and great picture quality even in direct sunlight.
Creston DM NVX Adds Pixel Perfect Processing
Crestron’s network AV solution, DM NVX, delivers an infinitely scalable video system that distributes 4K@60 Hz, 4:4:4, and HDR video over existing 1Gb infrastructure with no latency. It also pushes audio, control, and USB 2.0 through a single encoder/decoder. Now, with the addition of Pixel Perfect Processing, as seen at ISE 2019, image quality has improved to what they claim to be the same as a direct HDMI connection and still without latency.
NEC Interactive Displays
NEC debuted shelf displays that incorporate sensors, which identify products that a customer has picked up off a shelf, and then display information about that product on displays located between shelves. Data is collected and stored for future analysis. NEC also exhibited their Magic Mirrors that double as a display while customers try on items in a fitting room.
AtlasIED Strategically Hidden Loudspeaker
Designed to blend into the aesthetic of any ceiling, the Strategically Hidden loudSpeaker, or SHS Series provides optimal sound performance with almost no intrusion into a space. According to AtlasIED, the unique design allows for wide audio coverage, while the driver remains hidden in the ceiling behind the 3-inch protruding Adaptive Dispersion Lens, which can be painted to match any ceiling,
