Shure previewed their new Microflex Complete wireless discussion system at Infocomm 2017. This integrated audio system for conferences and meetings will deliver quality audio to in-room participants no matter the size of the room or the location of the participants, as well as remote attendees calling in from their smartphones.
The conference system features a color touchscreen, a card slot for identification and personalization and electronic voting. Allowing encrypted digital wireless transmission for up to 125 participants supported on one Access Point Transceiver and one RF channel, each single unit can be configured as a delegate or chairman unit and is powered by a smart Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery whose remaining charge can be checked remotely by a technician.
Using a proprietary wireless protocol, the system operates in the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands (including DFS channels), which can be used license-free worldwide. Automated frequency coordination and interference detection and avoidance promise unobstructed sound quality to ensure meetings go smoothly. Available in 2018, the units will be available in portable, flush-mount and modular formats.
