Harman’s new JBL VTX A12 line array loudspeakers deliver superior quality sound for mid- to large-size touring applications and high-end fixed installations. The product, which just started shipping in April, is a dual 12-inch, 4 5.5-inch, 3 2-inch transducer line array with numerous improvements including completely redesigned transducers, lighter weight and a brand new rigging system.
The now much lighter and more compact speakers result in reduced weight and required space for transport from one venue to the next while the simplified rigging system allows for a much faster deployment and set-up. The redesigned suspension system and patented internal locking mechanism offer ¼-degree increments settings.
The smaller and lighter design certainly didn’t compromise sound quality. The innovative JBL loudspeaker technology features completely rebuilt acoustic components for phenomenal SPL output and 90-degree directivity down to 250 Hz. Re-engineered high, mid and low frequency designs and components offer better tolerances, reduced distortions and increased power handling.
In addition to sound and size enhancements, the VTX A12 also features a full-face grill to protect components. The grill can be finished in any of a variety of colors allowing for customization to fit any install application.
