Extron announced their new TeamWork Connect 300, a cost effective, pre-configured collaboration system. Designed to support two digital and one analog source, the package includes two HDMI Show Me cables, one VGA Show Me cable, Extron’s new HC 404 Meeting Space Collaboration System, along with all other necessary system cables.
Source switching is enabled with The Show Me cables using the Share button at each device. Simply connecting a device powers on the system. Pressing the Share button allows users to share content on the main presentation display. The HC 404 provides built-in control of automatic source switching, display control, and integration with occupancy sensors. The VGA Show Me cable supports legacy analog computer-video signals up to 1920×1200 and 1080p/60. Low-profile mounting hardware is included, and optional mounting hardware is also available to support installation on a variety of different collaboration table or work surface designs. The system works with most flat panel displays, laptops and tablets.
For ease of installation, all signals are sent over a single CATx cable connected between the transmitter, mounted near users, and the receiver, typically mounted behind the display. An HDMI cable transmits all audio, video, and control signals from the receiver to the display. Several TeamWork Connect systems can be set up within the same room to accommodate multiple groups.
