Epson announced two new interactive ultra-short throw projectors in its Brightlink line. The new models, the Brightlink 1485Fi and the Brightlink 1480Fi, both use a “virtually maintenance-free” laser light source. Both models offer 1080p resolution on screen and a brightness of 5,000 lumens for both color and white. Designed for classroom usage, the image size can be up to 100 inches (diagonal) in 16:9 mode or up to 120 inches in the ultrawide 16:6 mode.
Students and teachers can interact using pens or touch to control, annotate, draw and more. Up to two stylus pens and six fingers can interact simultaneously. The projectors allow you to utilize existing white boards, plain walls or even tables to create an interactive workspace.
With Epson’s network Moderator software and iProjection app, teachers can wirelessly share students’ work from multiple devices at once. Up to fifty devices can be connected simultaneously including PCs, Macs, Chromebooks, iOS and Android devices.
Both new models include a one-year subscription to SMART Learning Suite.
The 1485Fi is designed for new BrightLink users and requires the new BrightLink mount. The 1480Fi is designed to be used with existing BrightLink mounts. Both include a three-year warranty with next business day replacement.
